Vital Voices is proud to support The Mothers’ Call, a bold, courageous action for peace uniting Palestinian and Israeli mothers — and mothers everywhere — in a shared call to end violence and build a durable peace.

This March in Rome, The Mothers’ Call will launch the Barefoot Walk: Mothers’ Call for Peace, where Palestinian and Israeli mothers will walk side by side, barefoot, to honor every mother who has lost a child to war. The walk transcends politics and borders, transforming mourning into movement, grief into action, and the simple act of walking into a universal language of peace and moral courage.

The movement, co-founded by Reem Al-Hajajreh (Women of the Sun, Palestine) and Yael Admi (Women Wage Peace, Israel)—recently named TIME Women of the Year and nominated for the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize—calls on mothers and allies worldwide to join this urgent appeal for peace.
